The Highlights of this trip include; Ol Pajeta, Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West National Park, Shimba Hills National Reserve, and Mombasa Beach.

Day 1: Arrive in Kenya & Transfer to Ambosell National Park On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a Maraka Tours & Safaris Ltd.  Depending on the time of arrival, either you will transfer to a hotel to relax and wipe off the jet lag or you will go to Nairobi city for sightseeing.

Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

you’ll transfer to Amboseli National Park which is about 165 miles (240 kms) south of Nairobi, the main city of Kenya, taking the Nairobi – Mombasa road. This drive is long but very scenic rewarding with the fantastic view of Kilimanjaro Mountains and endless plains of Masai land.

At Emali you’ll branch off and arrive in Kimana where you check in at the lodge, have lunch and relax before proceeding for evening game drive in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy the big herds of Elands, Buffaloes, Zebras, Giraffes, Warthogs and schools of Baboon. The golden Savannah plain with un-interrupted view is amazing. Birding experience and excellent African Sunset dream photography are perfect. Afterwards drive back to the lodge for Overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast drive through Amboseli National Park for the most emotional experience on an African safari and, Amboseli is the second famous tourist destination in Kenya because of its large numbers of elephants and splendid view of majestic Mt Kilimanjaroacross Tanzanian border. The great observation of hills around the park also offers clear panoramic view of the peak and park’s plains as well as swamps like Enkongo Narok. These swamps are permanent enough to keep hippos in Amboseli throughout the year. Animals include; lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, Zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, several cats, gerenuk, bush baby, aardwolf, spotted hyenas, duikers  and hundreds of bird species. You can still reach the western part of the park on your game drive which is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli which gets dry outside during rainy season. Kenya is home to the greatest varieties and concentrations of wildlife populations in the world with more than 80 major animal species and Amboseli overflows with wildlife. Stay Overnight at the lodge in Amboseli.

Day 4: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Tsavo west NP driving through Tsavo East NP via Kimana gate. The drive here is long with great expanse of the beautiful sceneries and landscape in this semi-arid or dry country into the land known as the man eaters of Tsavo. After lunch you relax at your patio by the swimming pool as you wait for the evening game drives. Tsavo West is a more popular destinationon account of its magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife, good road system, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River. The park is operated by Kenya wildlife Service.

Day 5: Visit Mazima Spring

After lunch visit Mazima Spring enjoying nature in this beautiful wildlife arena. Mzima Springs is one of the other sources of water after Baaricho which supply 90 million liters per day/hr.  The natural filtration process gives rise to Mzima’s famously clear stream, which flows through a series of pools and rapids. 2 KM downstream from the springs, the stream is blocked by a solidified lava flow and disappears below the surface again. Mzima is one of Tsavo’s most popular wildlife attractions owing to its resident populations of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Mzima’s isolation makes both species dependent on its waters. The hippos also sustain an entire food chain which gives visitors the best wildlife experience. Drive and sleep at Voi.

Day 6: Full Day Game Dive in Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, drive to spend the whole day taking clear photographs in this vast savanna a perfect setting for classic African safari experience. Animals such as, water-bucks, herds of elephants and buffaloes are common, the Oasis for many of the fascinating species that inhibit the park. Enjoy the fantastic view and the best chance to photograph animals and birds while the expert ranger guide narrates the stories of these creatures.

Day 7:  Transfer to Mombasa

After breakfast, transfer to Mombasa, the Kenya’s Indian Ocean beaches which are ranked among the top in the world. Enjoy the Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast it offers you with a plethora of equally thrilling activities, from wreck diving and kite-surfing to fresh water and deep sea fishing, tandem skydiving. After lunch visit the stunning arrays of Marine Park that offer coral gardens, rainbow fish and water that is warm and clear all the year round. Enjoy and get the opportunity to watch the whales, dolphins tracking. Then later in the evening you will drive back to the lodge for overnight.

Day 8: After Breakfast drive to Shimba Hills National Reserve

After breakfast drive south to Shimla Hills National Reserve for a game drive. The National Reserve hosts Kenya’s last breeding population of Sable antelope, hence the name “the Paradise of the Sable antelopes” and is one of the largest coastal forests in East Africa after Arabuko-Sokoke Forest.  This reserve is rich in flora and fauna and hosts the highest density of African Elephant in Kenya. The forest is an important bird area and is endowed with forest birdlife while the grasslands hold localized species such as red-necked-Spur fowl, Croaking Cisticola and Zanzibar Red Bishop. Kenya is a home to wildlife species that are found nowhere else on the earth, it offers you indelible memories and thereafter return to Mombasa.

Day 9: Transfer to Ol Pajeta Conservancy

After Breakfast Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy a popular safari destination for both local residents and international visitors.  Here you’ll find the endangered species enclosure – the northern white rhinos. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen.

The Sanctuary opened in 1993 in a negotiated agreement between the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the Jane Goodall Institute. The facility was initially established to receive and provide lifelong refuge to orphaned and abused chimpanzees from west and central Africa. The chimpanzees live in two large groups separated by the Ewaso Nyiro River. Sweetwaters is a chartered member of the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance, an alliance of 18 sanctuaries in 12 African countries, currently caring for over 800 orphaned and confiscated chimpanzees.

Day 10: Morning Game drive in Ol Pajeta & Transfer to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge/hotel and depart for a full day game drive at Ol Pajeta Conservancy best known for Chimpanzee and the late Sudan Rhino. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares and its game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. Ol Pejeta has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard) and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest growing population of rhino in Africa can be found.

Several southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary there are two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. After the game drive, you will leave for Nairobi with stopovers on the way for the best photographs, lunch and refreshments. It takes about 3-4 hours to drive from Ol Pajeta to Nairobi, arriving late in Nairobi City; the most beautiful and charming city in East Africa as you end the trip.
