Witness this as the sun begins to rise and shine over the ironic bush veld sceneries, magnificent wilderness roamed by big game.

The highlights of this safari are Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos, Rhinos, Giraffes, Crocodiles, Hippopotamus, Hyenas, Antelopes, Oribi and a variety of bird species.

DAY ONE

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed and greeted by an assigned English speaking tour driver guide from Maraka Tours and Safaris Ltd.  Depending on the time, you will be taken to your hotel to relax and recover from the jet- lag, or you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You will take Luwero-Gulu highway, through Nakasongola dry corridor as you will enjoy herds of long horned cattle as they graze on the roadside. At Nakitoma Township, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Track Rhinos here before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. These are the many Rhinos in Uganda that are in the wild. However, some have now been re-introduced to Ajai National Park. Trek them on the foot which is a very good memorable engaging activity. After tracing the Rhinos, drive to the selected Restaurants en-route for Lunch. After lunch proceed to Murchison Falls National Park via the main gate of Kichumbanyobyo, this time through Kaniyo- Pabidi forest the eastern sector of Budongo forest. Driving through this sector is rewarding with plenty of forest birds, and primates such as baboons, Blue and black Columbus monkeys before reaching the escarpment that has the fantastic panoramic view.

Driving to the top of the falls is a rewarding breath taking scenery, view the majestic waters of the River Nile, as it squeezes through at 6 meters cliff. You have an opportunity to see the violent compression through the narrow gorge creating a continuous roar into devils cauldron creating a trade mark rainbow. Afterwards, drive to the Lodge to check in for dinner and overnight.

DAY TWO

Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

After early morning breakfast, drive through this Palm lofted vegetation. Here in Murchison Falls National Park, you begin your journey into the soul of Africa. It is a journey defined by evocative, stirring of all your senses at the same time. It sparks to life with the roar of lions, and the laugh of hyenas, and then experience the heightening of these senses, when you feel the ground vibrate as giant elephants cross right in-front of you, never to be forgotten sights and safari moments.

Enjoy the wide range of wildlife in the Nile valley for the best of iconic and unforgettable safari moments in Murchison Falls National Park. As you drive around watch the plentiful herds of Uganda cobs, heartbeats, water bucks, buffalos and giraffes with spectacular view to watch some of beautiful and playful birds of Murchison falls. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and afterwards, drive down for the boat cruise at 02:00 pm.

Afternoon Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

After lunch, drive down to the river for the afternoon boat cruise up stream to the bottom of Murchison Falls. It gives an opportunity to view the permanent residents of the river; such as, Hippopotamus, crocodiles, just meters away, enjoy the scenic view of Nyamsika Cliff the breeding grounds for pied kingfishers, Red throated Bee eaters, and many other wildlife.

This three hours boat cruise provides you with the tranquil sun downer as you cruise back offering the classic view of an equatorial sunset reflected on the river. This is one of the most and unforgettable experience as the boat move just along the banks of the river to see animals and birds the frequent visitors of the river such as elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, baboons, warthogs. This is a rewarding experience, enjoyable and memorable. Drive back to the lodge for an overnight.

DAY THREE

Community visit and cultural experience

After breakfast, drive to Bugungu Community. This activity takes you through the journey of discovery of the lives of the local people, meet local farmers, and see their traditional way of life, meet the reformed poachers, visit organic gardens of cassava, and orchards of organic fruits, visit the traditional medicine man’s shrines, visit the traditional bee keeping project, and see how honey is traditionally harvested and also learn the African Art of bee husbandry, get welcomed by the vibrant performance of music and dance of the local people. It is a wonderful glimpse of life. Afterwards drives back to Kampala via Masindi.

Transfer back to Kampala

Transfer back to Kampala, via Masindi town with stop overs at the selected restaurants, for lunch before proceeding to Kampala and Entebbe if necessary.
